Former Iowa State standout Breece Hall is gearing up for a pivotal fourth season in the National Football League (NFL), now with Justin Fields as his new quarterback for the New York Jets. Fields recently shared his impressions of Hall, highlighting the running back’s impressive skills that could significantly impact the Jets’ offense this season.
“Upon joining the Jets, Breece Hall’s hands took me by surprise,” Fields remarked. “I caught a highlight from last year’s game against the Titans, where he caught a touchdown. You can tell which players have natural hands, and he does. He had numerous catches yesterday from different positions, including receiver, slot, and coming out of the backfield. He’s a tremendous weapon to have, and I am confident we will utilize him effectively.”
Hall has demonstrated his versatility as both a rusher and a receiver throughout his NFL career. In the 2024 season, he recorded 876 yards rushing and scored five touchdowns. Additionally, he made 57 receptions for 483 yards and secured three touchdowns through the air. His performance reflects the talent he showcased during his time at Iowa State, where he rushed for an impressive 1,464 yards and 20 touchdowns in his senior season, along with 36 receptions for 302 yards and three touchdowns.
With Fields’ endorsement and the confidence from his new quarterback, Hall is well-positioned for a breakout season as he approaches the final year of his rookie contract. The Jets, who are looking to build on their recent performances, will undoubtedly aim to leverage Hall’s skills to enhance their offensive strategy.
As the season unfolds, all eyes will be on Hall to see how he can elevate his game alongside Fields, potentially solidifying his role as a key asset in the Jets’ pursuit of success in the highly competitive NFL landscape.
