A newly identified dinosaur species, Foskeia pelendonum, has been described by an international team of researchers, shedding light on an evolutionary gap in the lineage of herbivorous dinosaurs. This tiny ornithopod, measuring just over half a meter long, was discovered in the Early Cretaceous strata of Vegagete, located in Burgos, Spain. The findings were led by Paul-Emile Dieudonné from the National University of Río Negro in Argentina and published in the journal Papers in Palaeontology.
