Wells Fargo Foundation has announced a donation of $4.6 million to Habitat for Humanity International, aiming to improve housing conditions for over 200 families across the United States. This funding is part of the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds program, which focuses on supporting the construction, renovation, and repair of homes, particularly for low- to moderate-income households.

The collaboration between Wells Fargo and Habitat for Humanity spans more than three decades, emphasizing the importance of affordable housing and community development. Darlene Goins, president of the Wells Fargo Foundation, stated, “Wells Fargo is focused on creating housing access and affordability in communities across the U.S. and the world.” She further highlighted Habitat’s leadership in advancing housing solutions that enable individuals to access affordable homes.

Wells Fargo Builds provides essential financial support to facilitate the construction and renovation of homes while also addressing broader housing equity issues. The foundation’s funding is directed towards building systems that promote housing equity and revising policies that have historically limited access to safe and affordable housing.

Since 2020, over 8,400 Wells Fargo employees have volunteered approximately 45,000 hours, contributing to projects that have assisted nearly 1,900 families and positively impacted the lives of approximately 6,000 individuals. Charlita Stephens-Walker, vice president of corporate partnerships and cause marketing at Habitat for Humanity International, remarked, “Over the course of the past 30 years, thousands of families have been impacted by the powerful partnership between the Wells Fargo Foundation and Habitat.” She emphasized that a safe and affordable home is foundational for wellness and economic opportunity.

Since 2015, Wells Fargo and the Wells Fargo Foundation have contributed over $102 million to Habitat for Humanity International and local affiliates. This support has facilitated new home construction, repairs, and various community revitalization efforts. Additionally, Wells Fargo will serve as a $500,000 Platinum Sponsor for the upcoming 2025 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, scheduled to take place in Austin, Texas, from October 26 to 31, 2025.

Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1976, is dedicated to building safe and affordable housing for individuals around the world. The organization has helped over 62 million people globally by advocating for accessible housing solutions and working with communities to construct and repair homes.
