Trump Finds Humor in Potential Hunter Biden-Crockett Ticket

Former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the possibility of a 2028 Democratic presidential ticket featuring Hunter Biden and Jasmine Crockett, describing the idea as both amusing and alarming during a recent episode of “Pod Force One.” In a conversation with columnist Miranda Devine, Trump expressed skepticism about the Democratic Party’s choices, remarking, “That would be some ticket. No, these people are crazy, so you never know what’s going to happen.”

Trump’s comments followed Hunter Biden’s recent media appearances in which he defended his father, current President Joe Biden, against criticisms of his performance. Hunter attributed the Democratic Party’s struggles in the 2024 electoral cycle to a lack of support for his father, particularly after the contentious debate on June 27, 2024 against Trump, where he claimed the former president had a significant advantage due to Joe Biden’s use of Ambien.

Trump Critiques Democratic Leadership

During the podcast, Trump highlighted the Democrats’ strategic missteps, stating, “They had two chances to win the election. They had him, and that didn’t work out, and he was down by 25 points or something, and then they switched him. It’s like taking a prize fighter out in the middle of the fight. It’s not fair.” He further criticized the party for replacing Biden with Kamala Harris, saying, “Nobody knew who Kamala was.”

Trump then turned his attention to Crockett, a Democratic representative from Texas, who has emerged as a vocal supporter of President Biden. Despite her increasing prominence, Trump disparaged her abilities, calling her “a low-IQ person.” This exchange prompted Devine to jokingly suggest a potential partnership between Hunter Biden and Crockett in the upcoming election.

Crockett, 44, has been a staunch defender of President Biden, arguing that his mental acuity is superior when compared to Trump. In a recent interview on Katie Couric’s “Next Question” podcast, she stated, “The way that I would describe Joe is like, I mean, he’s a granddaddy, right?” Her remarks reflect her commitment to supporting Biden’s presidency, which she believes has been unjustly criticized.

Speculation on Future Political Endeavors

In a lighter moment during the podcast, Devine mentioned a request she received regarding Trump’s potential interest in becoming the First Minister of Scotland after his presidency. Trump, whose mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, hailed from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, responded playfully, “I could do that. I would think I might be eligible.” He expressed a fondness for Scotland, calling it a “special place.”

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden’s recent interviews have sparked interest beyond political circles. Notably, podcast host Joe Rogan suggested that Hunter could one day run for president himself, commenting that he appeared “smarter than his dad.”

As the political landscape shifts, the potential for a Hunter Biden and Jasmine Crockett ticket continues to generate discussion, underscoring the unpredictability of American politics.
