The annual San Diego Comic-Con, set to take place from July 24 to 27, 2025, is poised to draw thousands of comic fans to the city. While many will gather inside the San Diego Convention Center, Paramount+ is ensuring that those without tickets can also partake in the festivities. The streaming platform is bringing back its acclaimed fan activation, The Lodge, which will feature a range of immersive experiences across various popular franchises.
This year, The Lodge will be located in the Gaslamp District at the Happy Does Bar, situated at 340 Fifth Avenue. The activation will run from Wednesday through Sunday, offering a variety of interactive experiences based on shows such as “Dexter: Resurrection,” “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Landman,” “Mission: Impossible,” and “NCIS.”
Immersive Experiences Await Fans
The highlight for fans of “Dexter: Resurrection” will be the reopening of the series’ vault. Guests will have the opportunity to explore a collection of relics, case files, and keepsakes associated with infamous criminals, all presented in a style true to the show’s dark themes.
For fans eagerly anticipating the third season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” an immersive sci-fi playground awaits. Attendees can step inside a recreation of a Starfleet holodeck, featuring interactive vignettes inspired by upcoming episodes. The experience also includes the chance to enjoy cosmic cocktails in the “Intergalactic Love Lounge” and visit the “Starfleet Academy” area, where exclusive themed merchandise will be available.
The activation will also transport fans to Midland, Texas, with a visit to the Landman Patch Café, where guests can grab drinks served in M*Tex souvenir mugs. For those intrigued by “NCIS,” a unique Parisian café experience will guide visitors through a stripped-down safehouse, complete with Easter eggs like surveillance gear and photographs, evoking themes of espionage and romance.
In a nod to action enthusiasts, fans of “Mission: Impossible” can recreate a dramatic scene from the original film by posing as Ethan Hunt, suspended in mid-air as he is lowered into a high-security vault.
Access and Additional Attractions
Admission to The Lodge is free, but reservations are necessary. The activation will be open on Wednesday from 18:00 to 22:00 and from 09:00 to 19:00 Thursday through Sunday. Guests who do not have reservations can still join a stand-by line each day.
Beyond The Lodge, Comic-Con attendees can enjoy various other attractions, including the CBS Sports Clubhouse and a UEFA Champions League-themed sports bar. Fans can also visit the Paramount Mountain, inspired by shows including “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Star Trek,” “Yellowjackets,” and “Survivor,” at the Paramount+ Fan Frontier Outpost from 11:00 to 14:00 from Thursday to Sunday.
Paramount+ is taking The Lodge on a national tour, making this Comic-Con stop the fourth in its series for 2025. Outside the convention center, fans can engage with Paramount+ in a “Nerd Out” booth located on the lawn outside the Omni San Diego Hotel. This activation will offer games, DIY activities, contests, and exclusive prizes.
Additionally, the free streaming service Pluto TV will feature its own activation as part of its “Summer of Cinema” campaign, offering complimentary popcorn, slushies, and a unique photo opportunity.
As Comic-Con approaches, excitement builds around the many interactive experiences that await fans, making it a highlight of the summer for pop culture enthusiasts.
