Emilie Kiser recently opened up about the impact of her son Trigg’s tragic death on her relationship with her husband, Brady Kiser. Trigg drowned earlier this year, a devastating incident that has reshaped family dynamics. Emilie, 26, and Brady, 28, spent Christmas with Emilie’s family, a gathering she documented on TikTok. Following her post, a follower inquired about her family’s feelings towards Brady, asking if they were upset or angry.
In her response, Emilie stated, “My entire family loves him so much. If anything, their unwavering love for him and Trigg is something that has helped us so much to come together as a family.” This sentiment underscores a vital support system during an unimaginably difficult time.
Trigg was found unconscious in the family pool in Arizona in May 2023. The authorities submitted a criminal charge recommendation for Brady, who was present with both sons during the incident. Despite the recommendation, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office confirmed that no charges would be filed, noting there was “no likelihood of conviction.” Brady’s attorney later expressed gratitude for the thorough investigation, labeling the incident as “a tragic accident.”
In an emotional Instagram post, Emilie reflected on the profound loss, stating, “Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words.” She described Trigg as “our baby and our best friend,” emphasizing the joy and light he brought into their lives. The grief, she noted, feels unbearable, and she acknowledged the painful lessons learned from this tragedy.
Emilie also took accountability as Trigg’s mother, expressing regret over safety measures that could have prevented the accident. “One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life,” she shared. Her hope is that Trigg’s story will raise awareness and help prevent similar tragedies for other families.
She expressed gratitude for her family’s unconditional love and thanked her followers for their supportive messages. Emilie highlighted that the only way to navigate grief is to continue moving forward, “minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.”
As she navigates this challenging period, Emilie has also begun to establish boundaries regarding her online presence. Reflecting on her journey since becoming a mother in 2021, she noted the importance of sharing her authentic self while recognizing the need for privacy, particularly concerning her children.
Recently, Emilie shared footage featuring Brady, marking a notable shift in how they present their family life online. A source close to the couple revealed that they have been working thoughtfully on their relationship since the tragedy, striving to find a sense of normalcy for their family.
“This holiday season is so important to bring a sense of normal for their family,” the insider noted, adding that they are committed to being the best parents they can be for their youngest son, Teddy. As they face the challenges ahead, Emilie and Brady continue to lean on each other and their family for support.
