ASPCA Partners with Subaru for 2025 Share the Love Event

The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has been named the national charity partner for the 2025 Subaru Share the Love® Event, marking the eighteenth consecutive year of this collaboration. From November 20, 2025, to January 2, 2026, Subaru will contribute $250 for each new vehicle purchased or leased to a selection of participating charities, including the ASPCA. Since the partnership began in 2008, Subaru has donated over $41 million to support the rescue, care, and adoption of more than 142,000 animals across the United States.

The ongoing partnership between Subaru and the ASPCA aims to extend their impact on animal welfare. “We are grateful to Subaru for their longstanding support of the ASPCA and their dedication to the wellbeing of shelter pets across the country,” said Matt Bershadker, president and CEO of the ASPCA. “With their help, we’re able to reach more animals in need and strengthen the lifesaving work of shelters nationwide.”

The funds raised from last year’s Subaru Share the Love Event contributed significantly to the ASPCA’s initiatives. These efforts included the rehabilitation of severely fearful and under-socialized dogs, particularly those rescued from puppy mills and hoarding situations. The funding also bolstered the ASPCA’s response to animal cruelty and disaster situations, enabling timely rescue operations in crisis scenarios.

In addition to rescue and rehabilitation, Subaru’s financial support aids the ASPCA in providing basic and preventative veterinary services to underserved pet owners. This assistance enhances the accessibility and affordability of veterinary care throughout the nation, ultimately improving the health and welfare of countless dogs and cats.

The Share the Love Event also allows customers to choose their preferred charity, including pre-approved local organizations, depending on retailer participation. Customers must designate their charity selections by January 9, 2026. Each of the four national charities involved is guaranteed a minimum donation of $250,000.

The ASPCA, as the nation’s first and leading animal welfare organization, has been committed to eliminating animal cruelty for over 150 years. Their multifaceted approach includes disaster response, behavioral rehabilitation, legal advocacy, and support for the veterinary community. With more than 2 million supporters nationwide, the ASPCA continues to strive for a future where every animal lives free from suffering.
