Children and youth in Dakota County are in need of supportive relationships, and one young girl, Zoe, is actively seeking a mentor through the program Kids ‘n Kinship. This initiative connects children aged 5 to 16 with positive adult role models, fostering friendships that can significantly impact their lives.
Zoe, a 12-year-old artist, has a passion for the arts, showcasing her creativity through drawing, crafting, and music. She recently participated in her middle school’s musical production, highlighting her enthusiasm for performance and creativity. Zoe also enjoys spending time in nature, often going camping, which provides her with a sense of peace and adventure.
Her personality is characterized by a lively spirit; she is talkative, especially with those she trusts. Zoe is described by her grandmother as resilient, emotionally intelligent, and possessing a remarkable ability to understand the feelings of those around her. Having faced numerous challenges and transitions in her life, Zoe has developed a strong sense of independence. Her first language is American Sign Language (ASL), which reflects her unique background and communication skills.
When it comes to her aspirations, Zoe hopes to find a mentor who shares her love for the arts and is willing to engage in active pursuits, such as hiking or riding roller coasters. In a heartfelt moment, she expressed her wishes for unlimited money to help others in need, for her grandmother and herself to live forever, and for a world where peace prevails and individuals can express their true selves.
