Wyoming Valley Women’s Club to Host Fashion Show Fundraiser

The Wyoming Valley Women’s Club is set to host a fashion show and scholarship fundraiser on October 26, 2023. The event will take place at the Holiday Inn in Wilkes-Barre, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. and lunch served at 1 p.m.. Proceeds from the show will support the club’s Annual High School Scholarship Award.

Members of the club recently gathered at the Avenue Diner in Wyoming to finalize details for the event. Tickets are available for pre-admission at a cost of $30, which includes both the luncheon and the fashion show. Additionally, attendees can purchase tickets for various prize baskets donated by local businesses and club members.

The fashion show will feature outfits and accessories provided by local boutiques, including Buka, My Sister’s Closet, Rumor Has It, and Women’s Boutique. A talented group of models will showcase the clothing, with Gayle Delano Slezak serving as model and fashion coordinator, alongside fellow models Colleen Mattey, Cathy Beretski, and Kathleen Handley.

For those interested in attending, tickets must be purchased in advance. They will not be available at the door. To secure tickets, individuals can contact co-chairs Romaine Stout at 570-829-3810 or Cindy Mitchell at 570-709-8635.

This fundraiser not only promises a delightful afternoon of fashion and community engagement but also plays a crucial role in supporting local students through scholarship opportunities. The Wyoming Valley Women’s Club encourages everyone to participate and contribute to this worthy cause.
