Puratos U.S., a prominent supplier of bakery and sweet goods ingredients, made significant strides at the IBIE 2025 event held in Las Vegas. The company not only unveiled a series of innovative products but also secured multiple industry awards, further solidifying its position as a strategic partner for bakers navigating current market challenges.
During the event, Puratos highlighted solutions aimed at addressing pressing issues such as rising production costs and the demand for clean label reformulation. “We work closely with industrial bakers, foodservice operators, and retailers to help them stay ahead of trends—whether that’s clean label, gut health, or just making great-tasting baked goods faster and more efficiently,” stated Andy Brimacombe, the company’s representative. The innovations presented at IBIE are designed to facilitate success in a rapidly evolving bakery industry.
Awards Recognition at IBIE 2025
Puratos received two prestigious Best in Baking Awards for Sustainability and Workforce Development, building on its previous recognition in 2022 for establishing the first U.S.-based Bakery School in Pennsauken, NJ. The company’s Cubease, a precision-engineered dough conditioner, garnered accolades for its sustainability features, which include simplifying dosing and reducing waste, ultimately lowering environmental impact.
Additionally, the Calling for Caring initiative, which promotes employee health and wellness, was acknowledged for fostering a supportive work environment. This initiative aligns with Puratos’ “people first” strategy and also received the American Bakers Association‘s Champions for a Better Tomorrow Award earlier this year. Furthermore, the company’s commitment to sustainable packaging through its Ecopak initiative earned an honorable mention in the sustainable packaging innovation category.
Spotlight on Innovative Product Launches
At the heart of Puratos’ presentation was the Industrial Pilot Bakery, developed in collaboration with AMF Bakery Systems. This facility, showcased in IBIE’s Innovation Showcase, enables industrial bakers to transition from concept to commercialization without disrupting production, thereby minimizing risks and reducing time to market.
In addition, Puratos introduced several groundbreaking products that promise to enhance baking processes. The Softgrain Ancient Grain Clean Label allows bakers to incorporate sourdough-soaked grains directly into breads, enriching flavor, texture, and nutritional value while streamlining production. This product highlights ancient grains such as einkorn, emmer, and spelt, which have remained unchanged for thousands of years.
Another notable launch was the Intens Fresh 3-30 Premium, an enzyme-based dough conditioner designed to extend freshness and support sugar reduction in sweet breads. This product offers significant cost savings when utilized in recipes containing 5% sugar or more. Also, the Carat Compound Chunks, certified sustainable through the Cacao-Trace program, provide a cost-effective alternative to real chocolate without compromising on taste or texture, insulating bakers from fluctuations in the cocoa market.
“IBIE 2025 was more than a showcase—it was a celebration of what’s possible when innovation is driven by purpose,” Brimacombe added. “We’re proud that our products and people were recognized with multiple awards, underscoring that Food Innovation for Good is not just our mission but our practice. Our innovations often result from collaborations with our customers, and we’re excited to continue pushing the envelope in the baking industry.”
