The annual fundraising event for Home on The Range Animal Haven is set to take place on November 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Albany County Fairgrounds. This community gathering promises a day filled with crafts, games, and educational activities aimed at both children and adults.
The event will feature a variety of attractions, including discovery stations, food vendors, and warm beverages provided by Quick Draw Coffee Company. The first 100 children attending will also receive special take-home goodie bags, adding an extra incentive for families to join.
Activities will cater to a diverse audience, with options such as horse braiding, creating pipe cleaner animals, making kitty ornaments, and even producing cyanotype art. Attendees can engage in a bingo scavenger hunt or observe equine hair and sheep wool under a microscope. Additionally, a special guest, Dust the Donkey, will be present for visitors to meet.
Tickets for the event are priced at $10 if purchased in advance and $12 at the door. Early-bird tickets can be acquired online at laramiehomeontherrange.org. The funds raised during the event will go towards supporting the sanctuary, which currently houses 19 animals that have faced abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Established in 2012, Home on The Range is the only large animal sanctuary in Laramie. It provides essential care for animals that require both physical and emotional rehabilitation, allowing them to live out their lives in peace.
