Fitchburg East Rotary Expands Membership with New Additions

FITCHBURG — The Fitchburg East Rotary has recently welcomed two new members, city residents Kevin and Paulette Varno. Their induction reinforces the club’s commitment to community service, enhancing its capacity to undertake various local initiatives.

The Fitchburg East Rotary is known for its active involvement in the community. Members regularly engage in projects such as maintaining the flower boxes that adorn the city. Additionally, the club organizes events to fund its efforts and support local causes. One of the highlights of its calendar is the upcoming 45th Annual Super Bowl Brunch, scheduled for February 8, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.

This annual brunch is not just a social gathering; it serves a critical purpose in raising funds for the club’s community projects. Proceeds from the event are used to support scholarships for local students and provide donations to area non-profit organizations. The event draws a significant crowd each year, reflecting the community’s support and the Rotary’s dedication to making a positive impact.
