Elizabeth K. Poitras, a cherished member of the Franklin, New Hampshire community, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on May 31, 1950, to Ralph and Kathleen Kimball in Concord, New Hampshire, she led a life filled with service to her family and community.
Poitras graduated from Concord High School in 1968 and spent 14 years as a school bus driver for First Student in Tilton, New Hampshire, from 2010 to 2024. Her dedication to her role was evident in the care she provided to the children she transported daily.
In her leisure time, Poitras enjoyed knitting and observing the wildlife around her home, particularly birds and chipmunks. She was also an avid viewer of television game shows, with favorites including The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. Additionally, she served as a Trustee at her local church, contributing to the community’s spiritual life.
Poitras is predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Roger Poitras, her grandson Curt Fowler, and her sister Natalie Carleton. She leaves behind her children, Jodi Desrosiers of Concord, New Hampshire, and sons Stephen Annis and Nathan Annis of Franklin. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Services Scheduled
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on March 14, 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, located at 172 King Street, Boscawen, New Hampshire. A celebration of her life is scheduled for March 21, 2026, from 12:00 to 15:00 at The First Baptist Church of Franklin, situated at 21 Church Street, Franklin, New Hampshire.
A private graveside service for family members will take place later in the spring at Mount Calvary Cemetery, located at 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, New Hampshire. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium in Boscawen is assisting the family with arrangements.
