Community Mourns the Loss of John H. Struwe in Depew, NY

John H. Struwe, a cherished resident of Depew, New York, passed away on September 27, 2025. He was a dedicated husband to Linda A. Struwe and a loving father to four children: Jamie (AJ) Brose, Katelyn (Steven) Goodrich, Lindsay Struwe, and Rebecca Struwe. Struwe’s legacy extends to his role as a beloved grandfather, affectionately known as “Papa” to Mackennah, Ethan, Emaleigh, Addisyn, Summerlyn, Harper, Hudson, and Hadley.

Struwe’s family and friends will gather to honor his memory on October 2, 2025, for visitation at the Kazmierczak Funeral Home, located at 3640 Clinton Street in West Seneca. The visitation will take place from 16:00 to 19:00. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to pay their respects and celebrate Struwe’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a GoFundMe campaign for Max’s battle with DIPG, as well as the John R. Roneker Jr. memorial scholarship at Buffalo State College. These contributions will support meaningful causes in Struwe’s memory.

Struwe is also remembered as a supportive brother to Debbie (Tom) Braunschweig and a beloved uncle to Erica Braunschweig. He shared a close bond with his best friends, Greg Zmuda and Tim Fortin, who will deeply miss his friendship.

The community of Depew is coming together in this time of mourning, reflecting on the life of a man who touched the hearts of many. His family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
