$28 Million Vineyard Property Hits Market in Santa Ynez Valley

A luxurious vineyard property in the Santa Ynez Valley has been listed for a staggering $28 million. This estate, previously a walnut farm, was transformed into a winery by the late real estate mogul Tony Vincent, Sr. in 2007. The Santa Ynez Valley, located north of Santa Barbara, California, is renowned for its high-quality wines, competing closely with Napa Valley and Sonoma for prestige in the wine industry.

The vineyard, now known as Vincent Vineyards and Winery, encompasses 25 acres, including 14 acres of meticulously maintained Bordeaux varietals. These vines have already yielded numerous wines scoring over 90 points, thanks to the fully equipped on-site winery. Prospective buyers have the opportunity to either take over the commercial operation or establish a private label of their own.

Vineyard Transformation and Amenities

According to listing agent Neyshia Go of The Go Group at Sotheby’s International Realty, the transformation of the property was a labor of love for Vincent. “Tony started the property from scratch,” Go said. “He and his team scraped soils, built infrastructure, and planted all of the vines. It was a true passion project for him that he poured his entire heart and soul into.” The property is being marketed as a turnkey opportunity for wine enthusiasts, with every aspect of the winemaking process, including bottling and labeling, conducted on-site.

The estate features a stunning six-bedroom Italianate-style villa, which serves as the centerpiece of the compound. The villa’s design combines Tuscan aesthetics with a relaxed California vibe, featuring a neutral color palette and natural materials. A grand entrance welcomes visitors with a double-height foyer and custom wood doors, leading to spacious, light-filled living areas. The gourmet kitchen boasts high-end appliances, mahogany cabinetry, and a central eat-in island.

In addition to the extensive living space, the villa includes large bedrooms with high ceilings, en suite bathrooms, and fireplaces. The primary suite offers a private balcony overlooking the pool. The property also features a gym, a sunny office, and nearly every room on the main level connects to the landscaped pool pavilion, which includes a cabana that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living.

Prime Location and Additional Features

The outdoor area is designed for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a large pool, an elevated hot tub, and multiple lounging spaces. An outdoor fireplace enhances the atmosphere, while two guest homes provide additional accommodations with three extra bedrooms. The estate also includes a seven-car garage, catering to those who appreciate luxury automobiles.

Situated near popular destinations such as Los Olivos, Santa Barbara, and Solvang, the property offers easy access to five-star hotels and a variety of excellent dining options. This vineyard estate represents a unique opportunity for those seeking a blend of luxury living and a thriving winemaking business in one of the most desirable wine regions in the United States.
