SGMC Health has announced the appointment of Hilary Gibbs as its new senior vice president and chief administrative officer. In this enhanced leadership position, Gibbs will oversee system-wide planning, clinical operational performance, and financial management. She will also continue to lead the SGMC Health Foundation and manage governmental affairs while taking on responsibility for clinical ancillary services.
Gibbs holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Master of Education in Leadership from Valdosta State University. She joined SGMC Health in 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience in development and fundraising. Previously, she served as associate vice president for development and alumni relations at Valdosta State University, where she played a key role in advancing philanthropic initiatives.
Under Gibbs’s leadership, the SGMC Health Foundation has strengthened community and donor engagement, aligning with its mission to support the growth and vision of the SGMC Health system. In a statement, Ronald E. Dean, president and CEO of SGMC Health, praised Gibbs for her “proven track record of leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence.” He added that her skills in aligning organizational priorities with operational performance would enhance the experience for patients, families, medical staff, and employees alike.
