Jean A. Bergman, aged 84, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Florida after a brief battle with cancer. Previously a resident of Inver Grove Heights, her death marks the loss of a beloved family member and friend remembered for her dedication to her loved ones and her vibrant spirit.
Family and Legacy
Jean is survived by her children, Ken Bergman (partner Lisa Blee) and Jeff Bergman (wife Jenny), along with her brother-in-law Ron Bergman of Washington and sister-in-law Judy Weber of North Carolina. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Corey (partner Maddie), Tess (partner William), Max (partner Peyton), Devin, and Sophia. Her great-grandchild Callen and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins will also cherish her memory.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bergman, her parents, Gilbert and Leota Mannor, as well as her brothers, Jack and Richard Mannor, and sister-in-law Joyce Mannor.
Career and Passions
Born and raised in Acme, Michigan, Jean attended Michigan State University, where she laid the foundation for her professional career. She worked in administration for several companies, dedicating a significant part of her career to the Inver Grove Heights Police Department.
Beyond her professional achievements, Jean was known for her deep love of family and her hobbies, particularly her passion for golf and various arts and crafts. She often engaged in crafting activities that not only brought joy to her family but also supported charitable organizations through donations of her handcrafted items.
Jean’s family plans to honor her life through personal reflections rather than formal services. In lieu of flowers, they encourage memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, a testament to her battle with cancer and her desire to support others facing similar challenges.
