Maimonides Health inaugurated the new Maimonides Doctors Clinton Hill Pavilion on September 29, 2023, marking a significant enhancement in healthcare services for the Clinton Hill community in Brooklyn. This state-of-the-art medical facility consolidates nearly 40 doctors across 14 specialties, providing comprehensive care in a single location.
Located at the intersection of Vanderbilt and Atlantic Avenues, the Pavilion integrates three existing practices: Maimonides Doctors Sunrise Medical Group, Maimonides Obstetrics and Gynecology Women’s Health, and Maimonides Multispecialty Care. Hospital officials emphasize that this strategic consolidation aims to foster coordinated care and improve patient experiences across the region.
In a statement, Ken Gibbs, president and chief executive officer of Maimonides Health, highlighted the organization’s commitment to high-quality healthcare. “For more than 100 years, Maimonides has been providing state-of-the-art, person-focused health care with a strong belief that every Brooklynnite deserves access to this high-quality care,” he said.
The Pavilion features advanced facilities, including 43 exam rooms, seven surgical exam rooms, and a dedicated surgical procedure room. It also houses OB/GYN imaging with ultrasound capabilities, a vascular lab, and a full range of cardiac diagnostics. On-site testing is available for blood work, strep tests, and COVID-19, with arrangements for more complex laboratory work.
Accessibility is a priority for the new facility, which includes spacious waiting areas filled with natural light and private exam rooms. The design is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring ease of access for all patients. Public transportation options are readily available, alongside on-street and garage parking.
In addition to modern amenities, the Pavilion offers a streamlined patient experience with one-stop scheduling for multiple appointments and a contactless check-in system. A lactation room is also provided to support new mothers.
John Marshall, MD, executive vice president and chief medical officer of Maimonides Health, expressed enthusiasm about the facility’s potential impact on local healthcare. “With this new facility, we’re not only expanding as a health system, but we’re raising the bar for the healthcare available to Brooklynites, in terms of quality, experience, and convenience,” he stated.
