NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst has officially opened its newly renovated Neurology Clinic, located on the second floor of the Community Medical Center at 80-01 41st Avenue. This modernized facility, which underwent renovations costing approximately $160,000, aims to provide a calming and welcoming environment for patients facing serious neurological disorders.
The redesigned clinic features larger exam rooms and a more comfortable atmosphere for both patients and caregivers. This expansion also increases the capacity for various specialty services, improving access for residents of Elmhurst and surrounding communities.
Dr. Helen Arteaga-Landaverde, CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, expressed enthusiasm for the new space, stating, “We are excited to open this amazing new space to provide crucial services for patients dealing with critical neurological issues.” She emphasized that the clinic aligns with the organization’s health equity goals, ensuring that patients receive the care they deserve at all times.

The renovated Neurology area is designed to deliver advanced, compassionate care directly to the heart of Queens.
The new layout allows for the unification of all Neurology clinics into one designated area, encompassing General Neurology, Botox treatments, Stroke care, and Endovascular services. Dr. Joseph Farraye, Chief of Neurology, noted that plans to incorporate Epilepsy services are already in progress for the coming year.
