Jerry E. Jones Jr., aged 59, passed away on February 1, 2026, after a prolonged struggle with lung cancer. A resident of Glenville, New York, Jerry was a cherished husband to Debra L. Jones and a devoted family member whose life was marked by love and commitment to his family.
Born in Troy, New York, Jerry dedicated the last decade of his career to SI Group in Rotterdam Junction. His professional contributions were significant, but it was his role as a husband, father, and grandfather that defined him. Family was at the core of Jerry’s existence, and he often expressed that they meant everything to him.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Nancy Archambeault, and a large family that includes his siblings: Catherine Jones (Kevin), Bob Jones (Roe), Shirley Pasquariello (Stephen), Alice Perrott, Barbara Palazeke (best friend Doug), Bryan Jones (Karla), Douglas LaPorte, Roseann Deeb (Al), Jessica Bazyk (Timothy), and Ricky Jones (Megan). He leaves behind four children: Gerrod M. Jones (Melissa), Crystal L. Secor, Sabrina M. Adams (Roth), and Mercedes L. Jones (John), along with a step-daughter, Kayla R. Lipson (John), and 14 beloved grandchildren.
