Jane Lewandowski, aged 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Trapper Creek, Alaska, on January 10, 2026, after a determined fight against cancer. Originally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she touched the lives of many in her community through her kindness and engagement.
Born to the late Thomas Mosley and Jane Mosley-Bettica, Jane grew up in Bear Creek, Pennsylvania. She graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre in 1984 and later completed her studies at Empire Beauty School. Her professional journey reflected her passion for beauty and personal care, but it was her community involvement that truly defined her legacy.
Jane was an active member of the River of Life Church in Trapper Creek, where she found joy and camaraderie among fellow parishioners. She cherished participating in church events, particularly the potluck dinners, and took great pleasure in sending cards to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and significant milestones within her church family.
Surviving Jane are her husband, Jason Kresge; her sons, Steven Lewandowski from Avoca, Pennsylvania, and Michael Lewandowski and his wife, Cassidy, from Largo, Florida. Additional family members include her stepfather, Fred Bettica from Drums, Pennsylvania; her brother, Thomas Mosley, and his wife, Debra, from Bear Creek; as well as a niece, Abigail Kryeski; two nephews, Parker Mosley and Nicholas Kryeski; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Jane’s life is planned for a future date, allowing friends and family to come together to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the River of Life Church, located at PO Box 13406, Trapper Creek, AK 99683.
Jane Lewandowski’s warmth and spirit will be missed by all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her community and beyond.
