On July 25, 2023, a vibrant Piano Duet Carnival took place in Fontanelle, where students of piano teacher Ruth Holan showcased their musical talents. The event unfolded beneath a large Maple tree in Holan’s front lawn, providing a picturesque setting for family and friends to gather and support the young musicians.
The students, who participated in summer lessons, performed carefully rehearsed duets, displaying their progress and enthusiasm. Among the performers were some beginners, having completed only two to three lessons. Their participation added a heartwarming element to the event, and they received enthusiastic applause for their efforts.
“Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and encourage these young people in their musical talents,” said Holan. The sense of community was palpable, as families cheered for their children, celebrating their achievements together. Following the performances, those in attendance enjoyed popsicles and Bomb-pops, rounding off the event with a festive atmosphere.
The Piano Duet Carnival not only highlighted the students’ hard work but also reinforced the importance of music education in fostering creativity and confidence among young learners. This gathering emphasized the joy that music brings, both to the performers and their supporters, marking a memorable occasion for all involved.
