Vicki Gunvalson Returns to ‘RHOC’ for Season 20 After Emotional Reunion

Vicki Gunvalson is making a notable return to *The Real Housewives of Orange County* (RHOC) for its upcoming 20th season. The announcement occurred during a live taping of *BravoCon* in Las Vegas on **November 14, 2023**, when host **Andy Cohen** surprised Gunvalson on stage. The moment was emotional for the 63-year-old reality star, who became visibly moved as Cohen presented her with an orange and asked, “Vicki, would you join us as a housewife for Season 20?”

Gunvalson, widely regarded as the “OG of the OC,” was a staple of the series since its inception in **2006**. She has appeared in **14 seasons** of the show and announced her departure in January **2020** via an Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the support she received during her time on the series.

In her farewell message, Gunvalson stated, “I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to *The Real Housewives of Orange County*. It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years.” She also hinted at future endeavors, mentioning a podcast titled “Whoop It Up with Vicki” that she planned to launch.

Renewed Friendships and Future Dynamics

The news of Gunvalson’s return coincides with reports from *Us Weekly* indicating that she has reconciled with former co-star **Tamra Judge**. The two women had a tumultuous history filled with ups and downs over their **20-year** friendship. Judge, 58, acknowledged their relationship dynamics, saying, “It’s that love-hate relationship all the time,” adding that their interactions were akin to sisterly arguments.

Gunvalson also reflected on their evolving relationship, stating, “I just have a different viewpoint on the show, and it’s a strong viewpoint. I can’t do toxic.” This acknowledgment suggests a more mature approach as they prepare to share the screen once again.

Gunvalson’s daughter, **Briana Culberson**, commented on her mother’s transition away from the show during a May **2021** appearance on *Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen*. She noted that Gunvalson seemed to miss the excitement and camaraderie of being part of the RHOC cast, saying, “I think she misses it and she misses the whole process and everybody.”

Current Cast and Future Expectations

As RHOC gears up for its milestone season, the current cast includes notable figures such as Tamra Judge, **Shannon Beador**, **Heather Dubrow**, **Gina Kirschenheiter**, **Emily Simpson**, **Jennifer Pedranti**, and **Katie Ginella**. The addition of Gunvalson is expected to bring fresh dynamics to the series, especially given her long-standing history and relationships with the other housewives.

With her history in the show and her evolving friendship with Judge, the new season promises to deliver the drama and excitement that fans have come to expect from *The Real Housewives of Orange County*.
