A significant musical event is slated for February 15, 2026, as the internationally renowned duo, The Chainsmokers, will perform a surprise free concert on Aspen Mountain at an elevation of 11,212 feet. This unique event, titled “High Tops – The Chainsmokers: Top of Aspen Mountain,” marks a historic moment as it will be the first large-scale concert held in a purpose-built venue at the mountain’s summit.
The concert, organized in collaboration with Aspen One and Belly Up Aspen, will commence at 11 a.m. and promises a distinctive experience for attendees. General admission tickets were made available for free, and they sold out within an hour of their release at noon on the preceding Friday. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, paid private cabins and reserved tables are also on offer.
“This is the first time Aspen has hosted a major, globally-recognized music act in a purpose-built concert setting at the very top of Aspen Mountain,” stated a spokesperson from Aspen One, highlighting the significance of the event. The rapid sell-out of general admission tickets reflects strong demand and excitement for this unprecedented occasion.
While Aspen has long been known for its vibrant live music scene, this event elevates the experience to new heights. The alpine venue, accessible via gondola, will provide attendees with an unparalleled high-alpine atmosphere. Guests are required to possess a valid ski or foot passenger pass to access the site, and wristbands will be necessary for entry. The total capacity for the concert will be capped at approximately 2,000 registered guests, a limit set to ensure safety, manage gondola logistics, and enhance the overall experience.
“This event reflects Aspen One’s continued evolution of the on-mountain and après experience through culture, music, and creative partnerships,” the spokesperson added. “Working with Belly Up allowed us to translate Aspen’s intimate, high-quality live-music DNA into a completely new alpine format. The Chainsmokers bring global reach and modern energy that aligns naturally with Aspen — elevated, contemporary, and rooted in place.”
In addition to the mountaintop concert, The Chainsmokers will also host ticketed performances at Belly Up Aspen on the evenings of February 14 and 15, making it a festive week for fans and music enthusiasts alike.
As the date approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be a landmark event in Aspen’s musical history, blending breathtaking alpine scenery with the dynamic energy of one of today’s leading music acts.
