Kennebunkport’s Christmas Concert Promises Festive Music and Fun

The fifth annual Mid-Week Music Christmas Show is set to take place on December 10, 2023, at 5 p.m. at the Town House School in Kennebunkport. This festive event, organized by the Kennebunkport Historical Society, aims to celebrate the holiday season through a variety of musical performances.

The concert will feature local talents including bassist John Kumnick and keyboardist Mark Gunter, who will join host and guitarist Dana Pearson for a two-hour showcase of traditional holiday favorites. The repertoire will range from well-known religious songs such as “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Silent Night” to more contemporary seasonal hits like “Santa Claus is Back in Town” and “Soul Christmas.”

Following the Christmas concert, the Mid-Week Music series will continue with a special event titled “An Evening Without Neil Young (but with his music)” on January 14, 2024, at 7 p.m.. During this performance, Pearson will be joined by drummer Ron Breton to celebrate the iconic music of Neil Young.

The Mid-Week Music Christmas Show is a cherished tradition in Kennebunkport, consistently attracting a diverse audience eager to embrace the holiday spirit through music. With a mixture of familiar tunes and lively performances, this year’s concert promises to be a delightful experience for all attendees.
