Drake’s ‘What Did I Miss?’ Climbs to No. 1 on Rhythmic Chart

Drake has achieved a remarkable milestone as his single “What Did I Miss?” ascends to the top of Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, marking one of his fastest journeys to the No. 1 position. The song, which reached the summit on the chart dated August 23, 2025, accomplished this feat in just six weeks. This surge follows a significant 13% increase in plays on U.S. rhythmic radio stations during the tracking period from August 8 to August 14, according to data provided by Luminate.

With this latest achievement, Drake extends his record to a total of 42 No. 1 hits on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. This is his third chart-topping single of 2025, following the two-week leader “Nokia” in May and the one-week chart-topper “Somebody Loves Me” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR in July.

Drake’s Record-Setting Career

Drake’s dominance in the Rhythmic Airplay arena is evident as he continues to widen the gap between himself and other renowned artists. Since the chart’s inception in October 1992, he has significantly outpaced his closest competitors. The current leaderboard for the most No. 1s on Rhythmic Airplay includes:

42 – Drake
17 – Rihanna
16 – The Weeknd
14 – Chris Brown
13 – Bruno Mars
13 – Lil Wayne
13 – Usher

“What Did I Miss?” joins the ranks of five other songs that reached No. 1 in a mere six weeks. These include his collaborations and own hits like Rihanna’s “Work,” “One Dance” featuring WizKid and Kyla, “Nice for What,” “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Young Thug and Future, and “Rich Baby Daddy” featuring Sexyy Red and SZA. Notably, Drake’s fastest ascent to No. 1 was achieved with “In My Feelings,” which dominated the chart in just four weeks.

Chart Performance and Future Prospects

In addition to topping the Rhythmic Airplay chart, “What Did I Miss?” has made notable progress on other charts. The track climbed from 3rd to 2nd on the audience-based Rap Airplay chart, driven by a 10% increase in listenership. It also moved from 8th to 6th on the plays-based Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, reflecting a 9% rise in plays.

Looking ahead, Drake appears poised for further success with his collaboration with Central Cee, titled “Which One.” This track has jumped from 29th to 23rd in its second week on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, thanks to a remarkable 49% increase in plays.

As Drake continues to break records and set new milestones, his influence in the music industry remains undeniable. The artist’s ability to consistently produce chart-topping hits reinforces his status as a leading figure in contemporary music.
