Deleted Scene Reveals Deal Between Sue Storm and Mole Man in New Fantastic Four Film

A recently released deleted scene from the film The Fantastic Four: First Steps showcases a pivotal moment between Sue Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby, and Harvey Elder, known as Mole Man, portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser. This scene, shared by USA Today, highlights their underground meeting, where Storm employs her invisibility powers to negotiate a resolution to an issue involving bursting sewer pipes.

The film, which debuted in United States theaters in July 2025, is directed by Matt Shakman and features an impressive cast, including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The film’s narrative, set against a vibrant 1960s-inspired backdrop, introduces Marvel’s First Family as they confront a formidable threat from Galactus, voiced by Ralph Ineson, along with his Herald, Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner.

In the deleted scene, Storm and Mole Man engage in a tense exchange of threats before arriving at a mutual understanding. This moment, described by Hauser on Letterboxd, expresses his disappointment that this interaction did not make it into the final cut of the film. He stated, “I wish they hadn’t cut my scene with Vanessa Kirby, but I’m stoked that I got to be in a Marvel movie.”

The official synopsis for The Fantastic Four: First Steps emphasizes the family dynamics and challenges the characters face while defending Earth. The film presents a blend of personal and heroic stakes, highlighting the struggle to maintain their identities amidst the chaos of cosmic threats.

Fans can expect to see the film available on digital platforms starting September 23, 2025, followed by physical copies in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats on October 14, 2025. This release is anticipated to further enrich the Marvel Cinematic Universe, building on the excitement surrounding the franchise.

As the Marvel landscape continues to expand, fans are eager to see how the intricate relationships and character developments will unfold in future installments. The deleted scene provides a tantalizing glimpse into the depth of character interactions that could enhance the storytelling of the Fantastic Four saga.
