Dave Chappelle Launches New Comedy Club in Irving with Sold-Out Shows

The highly anticipated Punch Line Comedy Club is set to open in Irving, Texas, featuring legendary comedian Dave Chappelle as its inaugural performer. Chappelle will kick off the club’s debut with four sold-out shows on December 17 and 18, 2025, marking a significant addition to the local entertainment scene.

First announced in November, this location represents the fifth Punch Line club and the second in Texas, following the successful launch in Houston in 2024. Situated within the Toyota Music Factory, the venue can accommodate 240 guests and aims to host over 350 shows and private events each year, showcasing a mix of renowned celebrities and local talent.

Unique Atmosphere and Offerings

Punch Line’s design reflects its ethos that comedy is akin to a sport. The decor includes a feature wall adorned with punching bags and boxing bells signed by notable performers. This vibrant atmosphere is complemented by an innovative menu featuring cocktails such as the Bellringer, a mix of bourbon and lemonade, and the Ringside Ranch Water, which combines blanco tequila with hibiscus and lime.

Food offerings include signature items like the Mic Drop Burger and Punch Line Nachos, alongside unique desserts like Homemade Punch Pop Tarts available in bourbon apple or strawberry cream flavors. The venue also boasts a secondary space, The Callback Bar, designed for intimate performances and equipped with a furnished patio for guests.

Supporting the Comedy Community

In addition to providing a platform for performers, Punch Line is committed to supporting the local comedy community. A portion of ticket sales—specifically, 25 cents from each ticket at participating shows—will be donated to Comedy Gives Back, a nonprofit organization that offers financial assistance and resources to comedians in need.

To foster community engagement, the club hosted its inaugural open mic night on December 9, 2025, encouraging local comics to participate while collecting nonperishable food items for the North Texas Food Bank.

For those who missed out on tickets to Chappelle’s performances, the club has an exciting lineup planned for early 2026. Renowned comedians such as Leslie Jones, Tone Bell, Pete Holmes, and Christina P. are scheduled to perform, with tickets now available for purchase.

Punch Line Comedy Club promises to be a lively destination for both comedy enthusiasts and aspiring performers, reinforcing the vibrant cultural tapestry of Irving and the surrounding areas.
