A community fundraiser is scheduled for October 19, 2025, at 14:00, to honor the life of Bobby Brown, a respected veteran and American Legion Commander who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident earlier this month. The event will take place at the American Legion Post 229 located at 11382 Lawson Avenue in Adelanto, California.
Open to the public, the fundraiser will offer plates of food, including hot dogs and hamburgers, for just $5. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, with all proceeds going directly to support Bobby’s wife, Miriama Manua-Brown, and their children during this challenging time. Described as a family-friendly event, it will include activities such as a jumper for children, fostering community spirit and remembrance in honor of a beloved figure.
Bobby Brown, aged 47, died on October 2, 2025. He was a dedicated U.S. Navy veteran and an active member of the American Legion Post 229, as well as the American Legion Riders and the Elks Lodge in Victorville. His contributions to the community included founding the Tri-State Poker Run, an initiative aimed at raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House.
Family and friends remember him fondly as someone who “never met a stranger,” with a deep love for community, family, and gatherings filled with food and laughter. His culinary favorites included Santa Maria-style BBQ, buttermilk pancakes, and banana pudding, often prepared for large family gatherings that he enjoyed hosting.
Bobby is survived by Miriama and their children, Toalii, Callen, and Emily. He was tragically preceded in death by his sons, Lil Bobby and Dino.
