Boulder Fundraiser to Celebrate Cuban Music and Culture

The Boulder Cuba Sister City Organization is set to host a vibrant music fundraiser on March 17, 2024. The event will feature the local band Los Bohemios, known for their dynamic Cuban salsa and jazz performances. Taking place at the Roots Music Project in Boulder, Colorado, this fundraiser aims to support an upcoming cultural exchange trip to Cuba.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $25, and all proceeds will directly benefit the exchange program. Each ticket purchased will also enter attendees into a raffle for a chance to win a half-price spot on next year’s trip to Cuba. This initiative not only promotes cultural understanding but also fosters a connection between Boulder and its Cuban sister city.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. at 4747 Pearl St., providing an opportunity for attendees to enjoy an afternoon filled with lively music and community spirit. The Boulder Cuba Sister City Organization has been dedicated to enhancing relationships and cultural exchanges between the two cities for several years.

By attending this event, participants will not only experience the rich musical traditions of Cuba but also contribute to a meaningful cause that fosters international friendship and cultural appreciation. For those interested in purchasing tickets, more information can be found at bouldercuba.org.

This fundraiser promises to be a delightful blend of entertainment and cultural education, making it a noteworthy event on Boulder’s community calendar.
