Willmar Senior High School has recognized the academic achievements of its students by naming the January 2026 Students of the Month. Each month, the school selects one student from each department, highlighting their excellence based on specific criteria set by the respective departments.

The selected students for January 2026 include a diverse group representing various fields of study. The honorees are: Htoo Soe, a twelfth grader from the Ag Technology department; Leiah Arends, an eleventh grader from Business; and Kamryn Zwagerman, a ninth grader from English Language Arts. Other notable selections are Jose Galindo Mendoza, also in eleventh grade from Math; Way Soe, a ninth grader from Multilingual; HarleyAnn Passa, a twelfth grader in Music; Lizveth Garcia Palma, a tenth grader from Physical Education & Health; Raya Olson, a tenth grader from Science; Marissa Travaglio, a tenth grader in Social Studies; Madalynn Carroll, a tenth grader studying Studio Art; Dalila Mus Gomez, a twelfth grader in Successful Life Strategies; Ashton Setrum, a tenth grader from Technology Education; and Joshua Pena, a twelfth grader in World Languages.

This initiative underscores the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence and personal growth. Each student was chosen not only for their academic performance but also for their contributions to their school community.

The recognition ceremony will take place later this month, providing an opportunity for the school community to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding students. Families and peers are encouraged to attend and show their support for the honorees.

The selection of Students of the Month reflects Willmar Senior High School’s dedication to encouraging students to excel in their studies and engage actively in their educational journeys. This program not only acknowledges individual accomplishments but also inspires other students to strive for excellence in their respective fields.
