Upcoming Class Reunions Celebrate Alumni Connections Across Regions

Class reunions are set to take place across various schools in the Nanticoke and Pittston areas, offering alumni an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates. These gatherings, which include significant milestone anniversaries, are designed to foster community spirit and celebrate shared histories.

Newport Township Schools Reunion

The All Newport reunion will welcome all individuals who attended Newport Township schools. Scheduled for October 12, 2025, the event will occur from noon to 4 p.m. at Transfiguration Hall in the Hanover Section of Nanticoke. The cost for attendance is $32 per person. Pittston Area High School Celebrates 30 Years

The Class of 1995 from Pittston Area High School will celebrate its 30-year reunion on November 7, 2025, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Red Mill Tavern, located at 340 Main St., Pittston. The cost is $35, which covers food, taxes, and gratuity, while a cash bar will be available. Alumni can make payments via Venmo to Susan Smith @Susan-MurphySmith. Those without Venmo or who have questions should reach out to [email protected] by the RSVP deadline of October 15.

West Side Plymouth High School Reunions

The Class of 1966 from West Side Plymouth High School is reaching out to its classmates, as well as those from the classes of 1964 and 1965, to discuss plans for its 60th reunion, tentatively scheduled for October 2026. Interested individuals can contact Helen Kibildis at 570-262-0645 or Norma Wildoner at 570-288-3183 by October 31.

Coughlin High School Gatherings

Coughlin High School will host several events for its alumni. The Class of 1959 will gather for a monthly get-together on October 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Adelina’s Restaurant, located at 77 E. Market St., Wilkes-Barre. All class members, as well as spouses and members of the classes of 1958 and 1960, are invited. Those planning to attend should contact Fran at 570-261-4121.

Additionally, the Class of 1966 will meet for lunch on October 9, 2025, at noon at The American Grill on Wyoming Avenue in Exeter. This meeting will focus on organizing the upcoming 60th class reunion scheduled for August 2026. Classmates are encouraged to confirm their attendance by visiting the Coughlin66 Facebook page or contacting either Joe Christopher at 570-706-1499 or Marie Dorrance Hartz at 570-574-5744 by October 6.

GAR High School Class of 1952 Reunion

The Class of 1952 from GAR High School will meet at Agolino’s, located at 22 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, on October 29, 2025, at 1 p.m. All classmates, friends, and spouses are invited to attend.

Submission of Reunion Announcements

Alumni are encouraged to submit class reunion announcements and photographs to [email protected]. For publication, electronically submitted photographs must be large, high-resolution JPEGs and should identify everyone by first and last names from left to right and by rows. Announcements should be typed directly into the email or attached as a Word document, as PDFs will not be accepted.

These events represent a wonderful opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their shared experiences.
