The Round Rock Public Library has announced a collaboration with SCORE Austin to host two free Biz.ability workshops in February 2026. These sessions are designed to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with practical insights and strategies to enhance their operations. Open to the public and requiring no library card for participation, these workshops aim to foster community engagement and business growth.
The first workshop, scheduled for February 20, 2026, is titled “Planning for the Future: Create Your Strategic Look at the Year Ahead.” Led by Schuyler Williamson, an accomplished author and business leader, the session will focus on helping participants develop a comprehensive roadmap for achieving their business goals, particularly for the first quarter. Williamson emphasizes a holistic approach, urging attendees to reflect on what truly matters in both their business and personal lives. “You will be pushed to consider what truly matters in your life and business – beyond just the dollar signs,” he stated.
Taking place in the Library’s Meeting Room A&B, this workshop will leverage Williamson’s diverse experiences, including his military background, to guide attendees in creating a one-page actionable business plan. His focus on character strength and a commitment to service is expected to resonate with participants seeking to succeed in their professional journeys.
One week later, on February 27, 2026, the second workshop, “Big Help for Entrepreneurs: Hear from the SBA District Director,” will feature David L. Elizondo, the District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s San Antonio District Office. Elizondo will provide an overview of the resources available to small businesses through the SBA and its partners, including mentoring, funding programs, and disaster assistance. “The federal government offers powerful resources to help small businesses to start, grow, and succeed,” Elizondo emphasized during a recent interview.
Through these workshops, the Round Rock Public Library continues to assert its role as an essential community resource for learning and business development. Those interested in participating can register for the events, with walk-ins also welcome. The library’s initiative demonstrates a commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant business environment in the Round Rock area.
