Nanticoke Community Gears Up for Exciting Events in November

Residents of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, are invited to participate in a variety of community events throughout November 2025. From book sales to bingo nights, these activities aim to foster community spirit and support local organizations.

Friends of Mill Memorial Library will host a book sale on November 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library located at 495 E. Main St.. Book enthusiasts can find hardcovers for $2, softcovers for $1, and children’s books for just 50 cents. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the library, enhancing its resources and programs.

The West Side Playground will hold its bi-monthly bingo night on November 4, 2025, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and games starting at 6 p.m. This event takes place every first and third Tuesday of the month at the association’s hall, located at 389 W. Grand St.. Attendees can expect food, refreshments, and door prizes, all in a non-smoking environment. For more details, individuals can contact 570-905-0524.

On November 9, 2025, the Nanticoke community will gather for the First Responders Mass at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, located at 12 E. Kirmar Ave.. The service, led by Rev. Charles Warwick, aims to honor emergency personnel, including EMTs, firefighters, and law enforcement officers from Newport Township and Nanticoke. This special mass will focus on praying for the safety of first responders and remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Another bingo event is scheduled for November 12, 2025, at the American Legion Post 350, located at 23 W. Broad St.. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with games commencing at 7 p.m. The kitchen will be open from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., offering a selection of food for attendees.

The Newport Township Women’s Activity Group will host a fall bingo event on November 16, 2025. Doors will open at noon, and games will begin at 1 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish on Market Street in Glen Lyon. Attendees can look forward to a bake sale, raffle table, and homemade food, with a cost of $20 payable at the door.

These events present an excellent opportunity for residents to engage with their community, support local initiatives, and enjoy a variety of activities throughout the month.
