Montcalm Community College (MCC) has officially opened registration for its spring 2026 classes. Students can choose to learn through in-person, online, or hybrid formats. Upcoming Workshops and Presentations
MCC is also hosting a series of dog training workshops, sponsored by the Ag Club, on October 21 and October 28, 2025. These workshops will take place from 18:30 to 19:30 in Room N510 of the Instruction North Building on the Sidney campus. Experienced trainers will provide insights on training techniques, proper equipment, and behavioral methods. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 18:00 to acclimate before the sessions begin. The workshops are open for drop-in attendance, with a fee of $15 payable in cash or check on the day of the event.
Additionally, on October 24, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, Mike Fornes will present as part of the Lifelong Learners series. His multimedia presentation will delve into the history of Michigan’s USCGC Mackinaw, exploring its role in Great Lakes culture and its intriguing past. This event will occur in Room G129 of the Ash TLC on the Greenville campus, with a cost of $5 per person, payable at the door.
Community Events and Opportunities
Montcalm Heritage Village will host a Halloween event on October 25, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00. Attendees are invited to dress in festive attire and enjoy light refreshments, games, and trick-or-treating throughout the village. For the comfort and safety of participants, pets are not permitted at this family-friendly gathering.
On November 1, 2025, MCC will hold its Fall Open House from 12:00 to 14:00. This event will provide prospective students with an opportunity to tour the campus, register for spring classes, and learn about financial aid options. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks and watch the first basketball games of the season. Those who RSVP will have a chance to win a $500 scholarship.
For individuals aged 25 and older who have not yet earned a college degree, the Michigan Reconnect program offers the possibility of attending Montcalm Community College tuition-free. This initiative helps eligible residents cover the costs of tuition and training for associate degrees or skills certificates after applying other forms of financial aid.
