Local Students Shine on Dean’s Lists Across Multiple Universities

Several students from the local area have achieved academic excellence by being named to the Dean’s Lists at various universities for the fall semester of 2025. This recognition highlights the hard work and dedication of these students, who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.

University of Rhode Island Recognizes Local Achievers

The University of Rhode Island has announced its fall 2025 Dean’s List, featuring several local students. Notable names include Isabella Santos of Fitchburg, Raul Fithian and Abby Goodchild from Ashburnham, as well as Caitlyn Florio and Katrina Wittner of Ashby. Additionally, students from Leominster, Lunenburg, Shirley, Townsend, Westminster, and Lancaster also made the list, showcasing a broad representation of academic talent from the region.

Recognition at Other Institutions

The College of William & Mary in Virginia has also recognized local students for their academic achievements. Madison Powell from Sterling and Madi O’Brien from Westminster have both been honored on the Dean’s List for the fall semester.

Similarly, St. Lawrence University in New York announced its Dean’s List, which includes Caelen Jahnle from Ashburnham and Cam Cirone from Lunenburg, representing the Class of 2029 and 2027 respectively.

At Mississippi State University, Ashley Kenney of Leominster earned a position on the President’s List, further demonstrating the academic prowess of local students.

In Philadelphia, La Salle University recognized Annalee Adair of Lunenburg on its Dean’s List.

Achievements Across New England

Moving to New England, Plymouth State University in New Hampshire announced its President’s List for fall 2025. Local students achieving this honor include Madison Vazquez of Townsend, who is majoring in Biology, and Jada Raferzeder-Moison of Lunenburg, who is focused on Elementary Education and Youth Development.

The Dean’s List from Plymouth State University also features students such as Shea Gonynor from Fitchburg and Tyler Nally from Westminster, among others, highlighting a variety of academic disciplines.

At Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, students including Carly Allen from Ashburnham and Griffin Caiozzo from Lunenburg were named to the Dean’s List, a testament to their hard work during the semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Unique Criteria

The Worcester Polytechnic Institute has a distinctive approach to recognizing academic excellence, as students are named to the Dean’s List based on the volume of work completed at an A level in courses and hands-on projects. Local students achieving this honor include Chauncey Michael in Chemical Engineering and Isaac Gonzalez in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Clark University also released its Dean’s List for fall 2025, with students such as Lex D. Deloge and Delaney E. Welsh from Fitchburg receiving accolades for their academic performance.

At Hofstra University, Gabrielle Pierce achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning a spot on the Provost’s List for fall 2025. Her accomplishment adds to the impressive list of local achievers making waves in higher education.

Continued Success at Various Institutions

In addition to the previously mentioned schools, Assumption University, Northern Essex Community College, and Southern New Hampshire University also recognized students from the local area for their academic success. This includes students like Jeremy Deras and Isabella Cavallo from Fitchburg at Assumption, and many others across various disciplines.

The achievements of these students are a source of pride for their communities and reflect the commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by local educational institutions. As these students continue their studies, their recognition serves as inspiration for their peers and future students.
