The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is offering a Beginning Beekeeper Course starting February 5, 2024. The course will be held every Thursday from 17:30 to 21:00 at the Lee County Extension Office located in Donnellson. This four-session program aims to provide prospective beekeepers with essential knowledge and skills.
Led by experienced beekeeper Dave Tull, the course is designed to cater to anyone interested in starting their beekeeping journey. Participants will benefit from Tull’s expertise, which promises to equip them with the foundational understanding necessary for managing bees effectively and sustainably.
Pre-registration is mandatory, and given the popularity of the course, spots are expected to fill quickly. The registration fee is set at $30 per participant. Interested individuals can register and submit payment until the class reaches capacity or until January 28, 2024.
