Friends of Whitman County Library Launch 2026 Palouse Calendar

The Friends of Whitman County Library have introduced the “Colors of the Palouse 2026 Calendar,” marking its return after a one-year hiatus. Priced at $15, this calendar features stunning photographs submitted by local photographers, showcasing the beauty of the Palouse region.

Where to Purchase the Calendar

The calendar is available for purchase in several locations, including the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, Colfax Chamber of Commerce, Colfax Library, Colfax Rosauers, and Tik Klick Drug. Additionally, customers can buy the calendar online through the library’s website. All proceeds from sales will support programs at the 14 branches of the Whitman County Rural Library District.

This initiative not only highlights local talent but also reinforces the library’s commitment to enriching community services. For those interested in acquiring a calendar, further details and online purchasing options can be found at whitcolib.org/paint-the-palouse-calendar.

Supporting Local Programs

The revenue generated from the sale of the calendar is crucial for funding various programs across the library district. These programs aim to enhance literacy, provide educational resources, and foster community engagement within Whitman County.

By promoting local photographers, the Friends of Whitman County Library also encourage artistic expression and community pride. As the calendar offers a glimpse into the region’s vibrant landscapes, it serves as a reminder of the natural beauty found within the Palouse.

The release of the “Colors of the Palouse 2026 Calendar” is not just a commercial venture, but a celebration of local culture and community spirit. As residents and visitors alike purchase this calendar, they contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of library services in Whitman County.
