Various community events are set to take place in the Bellaire, Meyerland, and West University areas throughout October 2023. These gatherings offer a blend of cultural celebrations, entertainment, and festive activities suitable for all ages.

One of the standout events this month is the **10th HUM Awards**, which will be held on **October 11** at **NRG Arena**. This gala celebrates a decade of contributions from the **HUM Network** in Pakistani television, film, and music. Attendees can expect an evening filled with cultural fashion, speeches, and live performances. Tickets range from **$64 to $200** and can be purchased through the NRG Park website.

On **October 18**, Bellaire will host a dazzling celebration with **A Night at Studio 54**. This disco-themed gala promises an evening of dinner, dancing, and drinks, all while raising funds for ongoing improvements at **Evelyn’s Park**. Tickets for this event are priced at **$250**.

Additionally, on the same day, **Monster Jam** returns to **NRG Park** for an adrenaline-pumping show featuring thrilling stunts and renowned monster trucks such as **Grave Digger** and **El Toro Loco**. Starting at **7 p.m.**, tickets to this high-energy event are available from **$30**.

Children will enjoy the **Great Pumpkin Hunt** on **October 23** in Bellaire. This free event invites children under 10 to search for toys, candy, and pumpkins filled with prizes. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy live music, face painting, and various activities. The hunt begins at **4 p.m.** at **7008 S. Rice Ave.**

Festive Fun and Community Engagement

The **Full Moon Fest**, scheduled for **October 24** at **Colonial Park Pavilion**, will feature costume contests, face painting, bouncy houses, and pumpkin patches. Participants must register online by **October 23** to enter the costume contest. Admission is free, making this event accessible to all families.

Lastly, the **West U Halloween Dash** takes place on **October 25**. Participants can choose between a **1-mile fun run for kids** and a **5K race** for adults, with all proceeds benefiting the Parks and Recreation Department of West University. The races begin at **8 a.m.** and registration fees are **$30** for children and **$35** for adults.

These events promise a vibrant October filled with community spirit and festive enjoyment. With a variety of activities to choose from, residents and visitors alike are encouraged to participate and celebrate the season.
