XTM Launches Intelligent Post-Editing to Enhance AI Localisation

XTM logo

XTM International has unveiled its latest innovation, Intelligent Post-Editing, aimed at revolutionising the process of content localisation for enterprises. Announced on February 5, 2026, this new capability integrates seamlessly within the XTM Cloud platform, automating the review and correction of translated materials. The goal is to alleviate the operational burden on localisation managers and linguists while ensuring the necessary human oversight.

As businesses increasingly adopt AI translation and AI-assisted workflows, manual reviews have become a significant bottleneck, hindering global content deployment. The manual post-editing process can be time-consuming, costly, and challenging to scale across various languages and vendors. Intelligent Post-Editing is designed to tackle these issues by implementing context-aware, large language model (LLM)-driven edits automatically on both human and AI-generated translations.

Streamlining the Localisation Process

According to Lorcan Malone, CEO of XTM International, this release addresses a critical pain point in modern localisation. He stated, “Enterprises want the speed and efficiency of AI, but they can’t compromise on quality or governance. Intelligent Post-Editing helps teams achieve that balance by automating routine review work while keeping humans firmly in control of the final output.”

The new feature works in tandem with XTM Cloud’s workflow engine, providing enterprises with a highly configurable method for executing AI-driven review processes. With Intelligent Post-Editing, teams can automate everyday linguistic corrections, enforce terminology consistency, and apply context-aware checks for formality and locale-specific rules.

This capability allows for transparent governance, ensuring that all changes are auditable and clearly attributed within the system. As noted by Andreas Ljungström, Head of Product at XTM, “Review shouldn’t slow teams down or distract them from high-impact decisions. Intelligent Post-Editing acts as an AI review assistant, handling routine fixes automatically so linguists and reviewers can focus on nuance, intent, and quality.”

Enhancing Quality and Speed in Global Delivery

By shifting routine review tasks to AI while maintaining full visibility into every modification, Intelligent Post-Editing accelerates the global delivery process while upholding quality standards. This innovation leads to faster time-to-market, which is crucial for enterprises operating in multiple regions.

The introduction of Intelligent Post-Editing marks another significant advancement for organisations looking to deliver products and content to international audiences efficiently. By embedding this automation directly into the localisation lifecycle, XTM International enables teams to enhance quality, speed, and governance across all markets.

XTM International positions itself as a leading AI globalisation platform, merging translation management, business management, software localisation, and video creation into a cohesive system. Trusted by over 1,300 global companies and supporting more than 880 languages, XTM offers over 80 ready-to-go integrations. This extensive network empowers teams to scale their operations globally while ensuring that their content resonates as genuinely local in every market.
