Eight Homes Sold in Seneca County: Key Transactions from Oct. 11-17

During the week of October 11 to October 17, Seneca County experienced a total of eight residential property transactions. The most notable sale was a spacious 2,766-square-foot home located on State Route 96a in Romulus, which changed hands for $165,000. This figure represents the median sale price for homes in the area during this reporting period.

Among the recorded transactions was the purchase of a 2,178-square-foot residence at 3689 Cayuga Street. Acquired by Ethan Swartwood, this property sold for $159,900, translating to approximately $73 per square foot. The home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it a viable option for families.

Another noteworthy transaction involved Amira Stillwater and Larry Mortenson, who purchased a property at 73 River Road for $139,000. This home spans 1,880 square feet and consists of three bedrooms and one bathroom, with a price per square foot of $74.

In Junius, Sean K. Chapin and Kelliann S. Chapin sold their home at 6 E. Illick Street to William Eddington and Braedy Eddington for $300,000. The home, featuring three bedrooms and one bathroom, adds to the diversity of available housing options in the region.

Meanwhile, a transaction in Ovid saw Melanie Lindsey and Michael Lewis acquire a property at 1476 Grange Hall Road for $290,000. This home offers 1,952 square feet of living space, with a price per square foot of $149.

The sale of 7198 Ann Street in Romulus for $127,000 was another significant transaction. Acquired by Crystal Craig, this 1,165-square-foot home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, priced at $109 per square foot.

In Varick, Keith Brogdale obtained a property at 5821 State Route 96a for $165,000, offering 2,766 square feet with one bedroom and one bathroom. The price per square foot for this property was around $60.

One of the higher-end sales during this week was the acquisition of a property at 955 Yale Farm Road in Waterloo by Jacob J. Schmidy and Lee Schmidt for $439,000. This three-bedroom, three-bathroom home encompasses 2,263 square feet, with a price per square foot of $194.

Lastly, James Provostheron and Jennifer Provostheron purchased a 1,596-square-foot home at 113 E. Williams Street for $42,000. This property, featuring four bedrooms and two bathrooms, represents a lower-end sale in the current market, with a price per square foot of approximately $26.

The recent activity in Seneca County showcases a range of properties available at various price points, reflecting the diverse housing market in the area. As the region continues to develop, these transactions highlight ongoing trends and opportunities for potential buyers and investors alike.
