Bouldin Acres has expanded its presence in Austin, officially launching its third location on December 6, 2023. The new venue occupies the former Lustre Pearl South space at 10400 Menchaca Road, further enhancing the entertainment landscape of far South Austin.
This latest addition mirrors the family-friendly atmosphere established at the brand’s other two locations on South Lamar and Braker Lane. The Menchaca venue features a diverse array of amenities, including two bars, an outdoor pickleball court, two shuffleboard courts, an indoor pool table, and arcade games. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, it aims to provide a vibrant community gathering space.
The founders, Matt Carter and Matt Davis, opened the first Bouldin Acres location in early 2020, transforming a former auto sales lot into a popular indoor-outdoor bar. The establishment’s name pays homage to the nearby Bouldin Creek neighborhood. The Menchaca location further solidifies the brand’s growth, joining nearby venues such as Moontower Saloon and Armadillo Den within the region’s evolving entertainment corridor.
Community Engagement and Amenities
Similar to its other locations, Bouldin Acres Menchaca is designed to be a casual hangout suitable for all ages. The venue includes food trucks, a full-service bar, free Wi-Fi, and multiple televisions for sports viewing. A highlight of the new location is the partnership with CM Smokehouse, led by pitmaster Cade Mercer, who will provide on-site food options, including to-go orders.
The outdoor layout features a dog-friendly patio, lawn games, and a playground, ensuring it remains a welcoming space for families until 20:00.
Event and marketing manager, Selena Silvas, reported positive community feedback since the opening. The Menchaca location quickly established itself through engaging events such as Monday Night Football bingo, bike nights, and holiday vendor fairs. The calendar for upcoming social events is actively maintained, providing patrons with a range of activities to enjoy.
As Bouldin Acres continues to grow, the new Menchaca venue represents an exciting addition to Austin’s vibrant dining and entertainment scene, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to fostering community connections.
